RANCHO CORDOVA, California, September 21, 2005 - Hansen Information Technologies (HansenĀ®) today announced that Mark Watts has been promoted to the position of president. Mr. Watts joins the parent company's Board of Directors while retaining his position as managing director of Hansen International Australaisa Pty. Ltd. (HIA), Hansen's wholly-owned subsidiary headquartered in Melbourne, Australia. Also elected to the parent company's Board of Directors was Reg Leonard, a current board member of Hansen's Australasian subsidiary.

"I am delighted to promote Mark Watts to the position of president, and to have both Mark Watts and Reg Leonard join our corporate Board of Directors," stated Chuck Hansen, Chairman and CEO of Hansen. "Mark becomes the first person, outside the Hansen family, entrusted with title of president, which speaks volumes for Mark's contributions to our sustained growth and my respect for his proven business judgment. It's no secret that Mark and Reg deserve much of the credit for our international expansion, representing a key factor in nearly quadrupling the size of our company since the year 2000. Today, over twenty-five percent (25%) of our business comes from outside the United States."

Prior to joining Hansen, Mark worked with LogicaCMG in Australia, implementing Hansen solutions and services since 1994. Bringing over 30 years of IT industry experience, Mark joined Hansen in April 2001 as Managing Director of HIA. During his tenure, Mark has been responsible for implementing some of Hansen's largest and most complex asset management, billing, permitting, and licensing applications, including integration with a variety of financial ERP systems. Today, HIA has over 60 employees who manage product development efforts for advanced asset management, oversee our expanding channel of certified partners in Asia, and contribute project staff to some of Hansen's highest profile international projects.

"I'm excited with the prospect of making Hansen the premier solutions provider for government," commented Mark Watts, President of Hansen. "We have come a long way in positioning the company to better serve our customers and I look forward to overseeing the global deployment and delivery of our next generation solutions."

Hansen offers an integrated family of intelligent, adaptive, and pervasive solutions to manage the operations of government. Representing the industry's first-of-its-kind web-based solutions for government, Hansen allows users to customize their solutions to capture the business practices of an agency's service environment. "It's no coincidence that we are promoting Mark to his new position as President of Hansen, just ten days before our annual user conference," stated Chuck Hansen. "We wanted to get this news out, well in advance, given other significant announcements planned for the conference."
