Rancho Cordova, California, July 19,
2006 - Hansen Information Technologies,
a leading provider of government Enterprise Resource Management software solutions,
announced
today that it has been awarded a $702,000 contract with Glynn County,
Georgia, to provide the Hansen 8 Web-based Community Development and Regulation
(CDR) software package to manage the County's permitting, planning, code enforcement,
and customer service functions.
Hansen 8 will enable the Glynn County Community Development Department's Planning
and Zoning, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement, and Engineering Divisions to
electronically
track all activities which are currently performed manually or with
temporary, improvised computer systems. The new system will provide an integrated
solution for all divisions; reduce overall costs; increase productivity; improve public service and satisfaction; and enhance communication, coordination and collaboration
within the department.
"Hansen 8 offers a solution that not only provides the latest .NET and XML technology,
but that will also allow us to effectively use the technology to serve our citizens,"
said John Catron, IT Director for Glynn County. "We are looking forward to replacing
our outdated software with a 100% Web-browser-based product that will be accessible
to office staff, field staff, citizens and developers. There is no doubt that Hansen's
software will help us to provide improved public service and satisfaction."
In 2004, the County issued over 700 building permits and managed over 900 code enforcement
cases, compared to 550 building permits and 871 cases in 2003. The implementation
of Hansen 8 for Building and Use Permits; Customer Service; Code Enforcement; Cashiering;
Mobile Code Enforcement and Community Development Inspections; and DynamicPORTAL
for Permitting and Customer Service products is slated to begin in spring 2006 and
finish in spring 2007.
"Hansen looks forward to working with Glynn County to deploy our Web-based e-Permitting
government solution. We believe that working with their knowledgeable team to ensure
a successful deployment will help them to gain operational efficiencies and provide
real-time access to important information," said Bob Benstead, Director of Hansen's
Community Development and Regulation Business Unit. "We are confident that our partnership
will enable them to better serve their constituents."
