"I could not think of a better way to celebrate
our 20th annual user group, the worldwide success
of Hansen 8, and our recent acquisitions, than to
have Huey Lewis and the News play for our annual
dinner event," said Gary Berry, Hansen's Worldwide
Alliance Manager and organizer for this year's annual
conference. "All our business partners, industry
consultants, sponsors, and especially our clients
from around the world, agree that music is a great
common denominator. Join us as we celebrate 20 years
of bringing Hansen customers together to make governments
more efficient and effective."
As Hansen's Annual
International User Conference has become the number
one destination for sharing ideas and workflows in
managing the business of government, a record number
of attendees are expected. To provide an extra
incentive for early registration (prior to July
31st, 2006), Hansen will select 20 people from the list
of early registrants to receive a special
'Back Stage Pass' to meet & greet Huey Lewis, have a
photo taken with Huey, and enjoy preferred seating
during the concert.

Huey Lewis and the News
Best known for their infectious pop anthems in the mid '80s, Huey Lewis
and the News was one of the most successful bands of the era, soaring to success
with a number of top-40 singles. The group released a self-titled album
in 1980 and followed up with Picture
This, which was released in 1982 and featured the singles "Do You
Believe in Love" and "Workin' for a Livin'." This success, combined with heavy
touring, started to win the band a following.
The band went
multi-platinum with their third album, Sports, which featured "Heart
and Soul," "I Want a New Drug," "The Heart of Rock and Roll," and "If This
Is It." The singles from Sports and later albums were accompanied
by accessible music videos that received heavy airplay on MTV. In 1985,
the band achieved their first number one hit with "The Power of Love," taken
from the soundtrack to the movie "Back to the Future." The band's fourth
album, Fore!, quickly shot to number one, propelled by the success
of songs like "Stuck With You," "Hip to be Square," "Jacob's Ladder," and "Doing
It All For My Baby."
During the late
'80s and early '90s, the band released two albums, Small World and Hard
at Play, which produced the hits "Perfect World" and "Couple Days
Off," respectively. Their most recent hit is "But It's Alright," from 1994
cover album Four Chords and Several Years Ago. The band
also released a greatest hits album in 1996, titled The Time Flies:
The Best of Huey Lewis and the News. This summer, Huey Lewis and the
News will be touring with Chicago.
